Of happiness, now and here after
On the beach by the ocean,
as the morning fog clears away
the streaking ray of dawn awash
a mesmerising display as ever it portray;
of yacht with mast of great panache
of lovers enraptured, entrenched in their devotion.
As I wade alone in the shallow water,
this feeling of serenity all abound
with arms outstretched, I could not but bellow
of deep contentment, this feeling so profound.
Tears in my eyes, freely they flow,
of happiness I’m feeling, now and here after…

awww… the poem was good and peaceful until “banshee” shattered it. i laughed… and that’s not good for peaceful poems. eh, just change that part and the poem’s perfecto!
okay…after rereading it, I guess you’re right. I just put it in as it rhymed with sea. I will update the rewrite later on. Thanks.^.~
@ Helen
Done editing. I admit, the new revision does work better.
Original poem:
In the house by the sea,
as the morning fog clears away
the streaking ray of dawn awash
a mesmerising display as ever it portray;
of yacht with mast of great panache
of kids at play shrieking like banshees.
As I wade alone in the shallow water,
this feeling of serenity all abound
with arms outstretched, I could not but bellow
of deep contentment, this feeling so profound.
Tears in my eyes, freely they flow,
of happiness I’m feeling, now and here after…
