Ode to my Mom, Part 1..
A special Haiku
to my most special girl, mom
- Happy Mother’s Day.
You protects, you teaches
strength engulfing us always
ever sustaining.
Your compassionate
dreams untold; flourishing my
creativity.
The motivations
you unfold; engagingly
driving me forward.
You sacrifices all
devotion unrequited
forever indebted.
My enormous debts
if even a thousand years
always be unpaid.
Your unceasing love
showered in abundance warmth
- Mother, I love you.

For the upcoming Mother’s Day this Sunday, I have this crazy idea to write a really loonngggg sonnet about my mom. Usually, what I’ll do is to start writing immediately from whatsoever tinny ideas that flashes through the right part of my brain. If that piece is OK, I’ll use it, but if not, I’ll drag it over to the ubiquitous windows recycle bin, shut down the pc, and goes off to dreamland in between the duvet.
But, after following the advice from my friend Jonathan here, I ended up with 3 neat little pieces that I feels to be OK. Guess what, I churned out that sonnet together with a free-verse poem and a haiku.
So, here’s then the Haiku. Hope you all like it.
