New WP Theme - InverseK

I’ve changed my Wordpress theme. This time, I’m using my own design, which I’m naming InverseK. Actually, this theme came about accidentally. I was tinkering with my previous theme when it suddenly became corrupted. I have no idea what when wrong, and since I’m too tired to trace everything back, I decided to delete the whole thing.

I thought I was going to have another downtime while I uploaded the old theme back. Surprise… surprise! Wordpress automatically revert to the default WP Kubrick 1.6 theme. I was intrigue. I never knew WP had this function.

When I first started using WP, I used the classic theme which IMHO is quite elegant. To tell the truth, I’d never given the WP Default Kubrick theme even a second glance as I found it to be too simple, too basic, and downright ugly. Shows what a dweeb I am.

So, yesterday was the first time I really take a look into the Default Kubrick theme. As I said, it was a simple design. But, this time, when I really probe deeper into its inner working, instead of the ogre, I found sleeping beauty.

This is why you should never judge a book by its cover. Here the old adage of less is more applies. It’s in the basic simplicity that the Default Kubrick shine; therein lies elegance. The sleeping beauty awaits, and all that is needed is the kiss of love to arouse its full potential.

Okay, straight to the point, the Default Kubrick is highly configurable. This theme that I’ve design is a 3-column variation. I’ve also change the sidebar from the right end to the left, in other word, inverting it. In essence, that’s why I’m calling it the InverseK.
