What Poetry is to me.
This week Poetry Thursday prompt is post about poetry.

What is poetry to me
If not that of emotions
Projected outward
Realising pent up desires
Giving light to
Blurred vision
Sharing with all
That we may walk the path
Together
So that there maybe
No contention…
With pride we tell
So all can hear our words
To touch the heart.
This is our pride…
That is what poetry is to me.
For the next few weeks, a few Poetry Thursday participants will take turns hosting the Thursday Poetry post on their blogs. This week, the host is Delia’s blog Left-Handed Trees and Other Lies: Writing from the Roots.
Next week, on September 13th, the host will be at Carolee’s blog: The Polka Dot Witch, and the (as always) “completely and totally optional” prompt is: Confront The Fear.

I really understand this. I suppose all those who write poetry would relate to to this.

my love affair is with the words… i take no preference as to style… poetry or prose rhyme yes or rhyme no… i just love to tickle to the words
That is what poetry is to me, and to a lot of other folks, I bet.
Giving light to blurred vision - is a particularly strong reason and a memorable phrase!
